Summary

We're looking for a hands-on Talent Acquisition Specialist - Tech to drive Presto's ambitious hiring goals with a focus on operational excellence and execution. As our first dedicated recruiting hire, you'll own full-cycle recruitment, build efficient processes, and help us scale from 5 to 100+ people while maintaining the highest talent bar.

Description
  • Execute end-to-end recruitment for all our team functions.

  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and creative outreach

  • Manage 10+ open roles simultaneously with exceptional organisation and prioritisation

  • Design and implement recruiting automations and systems using Presto to increase efficiency while maintaining our high-quality bar 

  • Deliver exceptional candidate experience with fast turnaround times from first contact to offer

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide market insights

  • Help our team maintain highest hiring standards and velocity and iterate on candidate feedback. You'll smooth rough edges in the recruiting process by by creating a constant feedback loop.

  • Track and analyse recruiting metrics to optimise processes and predict hiring outcomes

  • Build employer brand presence on LinkedIn, Welcome to the Jungle, and other platforms

  • You'll evangelise diversity look for proven traditional and creative methods to bring new points of view to the team.

  • Develop onboarding workflows for new hires

Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on technical recruiting experience

  • Experience with high-volume, fast-paced recruitment in tech startups (30-100+ people growth)

  • Expert-level sourcing skills across multiple channels (LinkedIn, GitHub, X, meetups, etc.)

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and solve problems creatively

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfort with building processes and automations from scratch

  • Experience recruiting for technical roles

  • Understanding of global hiring practices (EU/US markets)

  • Metrics-driven approach to recruitment

  • Excitement about using AI tools to enhance recruiting efficiency

Nice to have

  • Experience with Ashby ATS

  • Previous startup experience in Series A/B companies

  • Background in technical program management or operations

  • Experience with diversity and inclusion hiring practices

Dealbreakers
  • Being siloed in a recruiting-only function without the opportunity to impact broader people operations.

  • Managing administrative HR tasks exclusively (though some will be part of the role).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence: This means real, proven achievement in demanding environments—top performance in elite academic, technical, sporting or entrepreneurial settings.

  • Relevant degree or equivalent expertise in your area of specialty (e.g. Computer Science, Design, Business, Engineering, etc.).
